LST Group is seeking an energetic, highly driven Carrier Sales Manager, for our Columbia SC branch to support our rapidly expanding customer base. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our high-volume high demand and sometimes hazardous material shipper clients. You will provide the best solutions for our company to support our clients’ freight transportation goals while expanding our carrier partnerships and ensuring we deliver outstanding service & communication to LST customers.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our high-volume high demand and sometimes hazardous material shipper clients. You will provide the best solutions for our company to support our clients’ freight transportation goals while expanding our carrier partnerships and ensuring we deliver outstanding service & communication to LST customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Sales & Acct Mgt Teams to manage the full lifecycle of shipments from quoting rates to securing capacity for our clients’ loads.
- Execute exceptional service with customers with respect to order needs, pickup and delivery times, any issues in transit or with appointment times, etc.
- Monitor shipment status, proactively communicate updates or delays, and resolve any service-related issues.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic carriers, focusing on contractual long-term partnerships to support revenue growth.
- Work closely with carrier partners to ensure capacity, compliance, and performance standards.
- Analyze client needs and offer tailored logistics solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and industry regulations specific to hazardous material transport and partnering with carriers who meet/exceed our high standards of safety & performance.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry for all orders, load details, client information, and shipment updates into TMS and internal databases as needed.
- Strong understanding of a vast array of commodities, standards for transportation, supply chain management and logistics procedures.
- Well versed in transportation and the needs of hazmat shippers.
- Experience shipping high volume high demand sensitive commodity freight.
- Experience seasonal market shifts, pricing and hazardous delivery requirements, etc.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
